About Milo Cavic

My name is Milorad (“Milo”, pronounced Mee-low) Cavic and I’m an Olympic silver medalist, former world champion, and 3x world record holder! During my 19-year career, I participated in 4x Olympic games (2000-2012), 5x World Championships, 9x European championships, US National Championships, and NCAA Championships, at all of which I’ve won multiple medals and been crowned champion, except for that one time that “almost” resulted in Olympic gold! ... But that’s an interesting story for another time!

Swimming Coach

Before I embarked on that long journey, I was just like any other kid with dreams in Southern California. It was a small series of events that occurred during my childhood and teenage years which inspired me to dedicate my life to the pursuit of Olympic glory, the first being my exposure to swimming and immediate love for the water. The second was meeting and listening to the stories of Olympic legends, the first being Barcelona (1992) Olympic champion Pablo Morales in 1994. The third was putting myself in position to regularly work with coaches that have coached athletes to the Olympic team or been there themselves. They spoke my “language” and were able to share with me the technical secrets of the best in the world, and also, step-by-step, coach me through the everyday process needed to help me race against the world’s best!

If it wasn’t for the countless hours spent in private lessons, clinics, and out-of-the-water mentorship from successful coaches and Olympic athletes, I’m certain my journey would have been more difficult, if not less fruitful.
